Elektroservisi in the past
The origin of our traditional activities (Electrical Construction, Metal Processing and Meter Maintenance Services) goes back to the formation and development of the company Elektro Ljubljana okolica (currently Elektro Ljubljana), which celebrated in 2006 the 110th anniversary of the first public electrification, which was carried out in Kočevje (4 km, 106 posts, 700 bulbs).
The real beginning of our company represented establishing TOZD Elektroservisi in August 1974. At TOZD there were work units of Electrical Construction, Metal Workshop and Meter Maintenance Services. In addition to these units, there were as well a printing house, which was abolished in 1989, and an auto-mechanic workshop, which was transmitted to Elektro Ljubljana in 1991.
In 1979 a superstructure was made in Glavarjeva in which warehouse and administration board were located (till 2005). In 1981 an entirely new production hall was opened in Tacen. And in 1987 new business premises for Electrical Construction were opened in Podrečje near Domžale.
In the beginning of the 90s the process of gaining independence started evolving and with it the transformation of the company’s ownership. After this excessively long procedure, which was complicated due to different consensuses, the ownership transformation was completed as late as 2006 when on 10th June that year Elektroservisi joint-stock company
The appointed directors were: Ozimek Edvard (from 1974 to 1975), Ribič Alojz (from 1975 to 1988), and Debevec Peter (from 1988 to 2004).
Elektroservisi today
The mission of Elektroservisi is to meet the needs of the infrastructure companies, mostly concerning the devices for transmitting and distributing electric power (building the new ones and maintaining the old ones). In addition, all our efforts are directed to meet the needs of customers in view of constructions, that of residential and business nature. Among our priorities are as well satisfied employees whom we take care of with proper payments, social security benefits, and personal growth. Our shareholders can harbor their hopes with proportionate dividends and at the same time enjoy security of investment. Indeed we need not to emphasize that we try to meet the needs of a broader as well as tighter social community.

Important events in 2006:
- Development projects - A development project Modular was completed in the beginning of the year (built-in cable connection cabinets). During the year we started working on three new development projects that will be terminated in 2008 - renovation of the total assortment of consoles, modernisation of precipitators and renovation of 20 kV pylons.
- Technological modernisation in the Metalworks division - Further to extensive preliminary work implemented since mid-2006, a significant technical modernisation was implemented in May with three new machines and the accompanying equipment in the total value of EUR 620 thousand.
- Final acceptance of the Glavarjeva rezidenca building site - After an enormous delay of the Gradis skupina G main contractor (the contractual term for the completion of works was set for November _5, 2006) in completing the contractually agreed works on the Glavarjeva rezidenca project and following a negative response in relation to the rectification of deficiencies, we had to take over the management of the building site in September. Since then construction works have proceeded to the end and the deficiencies are rectified in our name, yet for the account of the Gradis skupina G company.
- New information system - After several years of preparations we started introducing a new information system after an agreement with the NPS company was signed in September. The information system is based on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV tools (former Navision). The new information system will come to full use during 2008.
- New business premises - In September we signed an agreement with the Projektivni biro Velenje and started planning new production and business premises.
- Updating of the Company Agreement - The first Company Agreement entered into force on February 2006. It was updated on the basis of our 2 years of experience. The amendments will enter into force on January 2008.
- Personnel changes - At the end of 2007 two important changes in personnel have been made. The management of the Marketing sector was taken over by Janez Baloh, electro engineer, and the management of the Metal Processing division was taken over by Jože Rački, B.A. (org.) and mechanical engineer. During the year we got new external associates for the following fields: tax counselling, counselling from the fields of production and safety at work. In 2007 we were present as an employer at the Kariera fair and the event Jobfair organised by the Faculty of Electrotechnics.
The results of 2007 were greatly influenced by the project of building the flats Glavarjeva rezidenca for sale that will have to be replaced by new projects in the future in the Real Estate Division and by increasing the scope of operation in traditional activities.
Our vision is to rank among 300 largest companies by revenues, by return and added value per employee in the Republic of Slovenia and to keep that position. The fist part of the vision (to rank) was achieved in 2007, the second part (to keep) remains a great challenge for our company.
Elektroservisi in the future
Our thoughts at the end of 2004 were “The company has not witnessed as many changes in the last 30 years, as are awaiting us in the following three years. From a company that was losing its market share and was operating almost without profit, we are going to make a standard, development focused company featuring an adequate market leverage and profitable operations, which will be a solid base for the social security and personal development of employees, an increase in wages, and distribution of dividends”.
And this is what we have done (and will continue to do).
Our vision is to:
- strengthen our position among 300 largest and top companies in Slovenia,
- become the largest supplier to Slovene infrastructure companies (also industry) in the field of construction and maintenance of devices for the transmission and distribution of electricity,
- rank among ten top providers of new residential and commercial premises.
Our strategic orientation is headed for:
- strengthening of business operations on foreign markets,
- increasing the share of our know-how in the structure of products and services,
- increasing the scope of co-operation with the existing clients and extending the number of customers,
- modernisation of the existing products and services and introduction of new products and services to production.
We also plan to:
- increase the number of employees, especially the employees having higher and university education,
- increase competence, focus and employees’ motivation,
- increase co-operation with suppliers,
- introduce a new information system,
- erect new production-commercial premises
