Elektroservisi Guarantee the Reliability of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
As an accredited inspection authority for the measurement of electrical energy, the Elektroservisi Metrology Laboratory performs various services aimed at ensuring the reliability of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
Our services include the full range of services required for high-quality implementation and maintenance of advanced metering systems (AMI). We perform acceptance testing of new equipment, professionally install and connect metering equipment into AMI systems, maintain and service smart meters, test their functionality, and perform metrological testing and verification. We measure the impact of various external factors (voltage fluctuations, frequency oscillations, and foreign magnetic field impact) on the accuracy of the meter, the impact of the presence of current and voltage harmonic components on the accuracy of the meter, test the performance of communication interfaces, and carry out a number of other tests.
With the help of the expertise of our engineers, we carry out measurements at consumption points, as the company pursues the goal of maintaining the metering equipment at a single consumption point throughout its entire service life. In addition to metrological tests that are normally carried out in the metrology laboratory, several other measurements can be performed at consumption points, such as measuring the quality of electricity, control of the overall consumption point etc. Smart meter measurements at installation points bring a great added value, especially in lowering costs and obtaining additional information on the status of the AMI system, which facilitates the management of the advanced metering system.
We are also developing new solutions in collaboration with our business partners. Great emphasis is placed on interoperability testing, which means that equipment from different manufacturers is capable of connecting and operating uniformly. We are also planning to produce a more comprehensive and more efficient process for acceptance testing, with a view to enhancing the reliability of measuring electric power and achieving the highest level of confidence in the operation of smart meters from both distribution companies as well as end users.
